Just to let you know that we had a good session this morning and have managed to repair the section of the bridge which was rotting. We have also cleaned the bridge prior to it being painted next week. Thanks to Piers and Kevin we have cleared various trees which had fallen over the tracks.

Helped by the Delbridge family, we have managed to pull up quite a lot of invasive vegetation, Himalayan Balsam, Crocosmia (lots!) and some Gunnera. We need permission from our neighbours to tackle larger colonies on their properties, otherwise it will all come back again.

Finally, we have managed to put a good surface on the riverbank path (see photo). We think this is so solid that it will be flood proof, so fingers crossed. For now, it is a much-improved walk.
